Police are great at flexible working, making allowances for you. Senior management (like any company or organisation) are often poor The work can be hard and mentally difficult but your colleagues get you through it Moving around is a pro, however sometimes... this is blocked depending on resourcing levels Sometimes leave and duties are changed at last minute due to operational reasons - however this is part of the job and although annoying, it is important Police and especially senior management seem overly focussed on diversity and ethics - these are so important, but often it's shoved in your face at every single opportunity and I think it loses meaning because it is often insincere and said just so they can say they've done it
