I worked at Secure Search Screening Services full-time for less than a year

Pros

Some of the employees genuinely try to help and guide you. But, nearly everyone whom I interacted with, expressed discontent with the job, salary, and unhealthy work culture.

Cons

The management demands that their employees go well beyond their 8 working hours on a daily basis. Most employees stick around for at least 2 extra hours every day. Salary is cut if you reach more... than 15 minutes late, but no overtime is given even if you're working 1-2 hours extra on a regular basis. Salary is so pathetic that no one is satisfied; most employees are just there because they are under-confident and believe they won't get something better. The company also doesn't trust their employees enough to give them access to their own email and password, so they are forced to be present in office whenever they need to work — no work from home facility unless they're in management or servicing a key client. According to the management, they are paying higher than the industry standard and the background screening industry itself is not too highly paid. They also say that increments will be given annually as per performance. I don't know if this is true or not, but I don't recommend any decently skilled person with self-respect to join this company. It's not worth it. The company also has a very HIGH number of employees resigning and absconding. In my brief tenure there, I've seen countless cases of absconding and resignations. Due to which, they pretty much hire ANYONE (barely any standard for hiring) because they're so desperate for manpower. It's a vicious cycle.

Advice to Management

Pay your employees well and have respect for work time boundaries. Employees are not your personal property.
