Current Employee - Civil Engineer

I have been working at Greeley and Hansen full-time for more than a year

Pros

I appreciate the old school focus on solid water/wastewater engineering, without too much corporate fuss. Generous ability to attend conferences, seminars, and other external career development... opportunities on company time. Salaries are well above industry average and most of the benefits (insurance and other) as well.

Cons

Currently suffering from a difficult leadership/culture transition, and trying to adapt old school culture to the already changed engineering consulting landscape. Internal systems have not kept... apace with developing technology, not always, but new ways of doing things can definitely be an asset. Separate pools for sick time and PTO, below industry average.

Advice to Management

Greeley and Hansen has a well established name in the Water/Wastewater industry but many of the senior leaders are retiring without people in place to take over roles, in a corporate sense but... especially in a technical nuts and bolts manner. As the firm assuredly knows, retaining and recruiting the next generation of capable engineers is essential to continuing the firm's long reputable history.

I worked at Tripp Lite full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Here I worked as an electrician in industrial electronics - Industrial repairs and maintenance - I have modify electrical building installations and install UPSs, Inverters, Generators - UPS... installation and maintenance Uninterrupted power supplies. - I installed it automation for uninterrupted power supply to: military units, factories, hospitals, schools, gardens and institutions. - I repaired electronically warranty period: motherboards, inverters, frequency converters, UPSs and automation for automatic start of electric generators. - Power factor assessment and installation. Thermal Imaging, - Repairing Generators and Transfer Switches, Design and installation of electrical systems. Installation of electrical cabinets. Electrical Fabrication and Control Panels. Total Industrial/Commercial Electrical/Mechatronics Maintenance & Installation. - I have gained a professional experience and valuable professional skills during this years - Understanding technical data on most manufacturing equipment, good analytical skills.
