there seems to be a personal vendetta against the company being made by the same person. i worked there for two years and I never saw the things that this former employee is saying. the company was... going through a massive change while i was working there. the owners were married and they split up. they managed to keep the business going while they dealt with their personal affairs quite well in the office and run the brand. they won some awards, had the best celebrities wearing their designs and sold well. the business in the last two years took a hit and was losing money when i left. the survived it and had been going for well over a decade, i think 15 years which for any fashion brand is a major acheivement without a backer. all the staff got free jewellery, they were able to purchase jewellery at cost (i dont know of any fashion brand which allows that) and worked in a casual and relaxed cool work envoirment; the two offices they have were well set up, well serviced and fun places - especially with Mawis jovial character.

Cons

i have worked in many fashion brands in east london. most of them are small businesses. you have to work long hours, low pay, stressful conditions and only the tough survive. people think they are... coming into a glamourous role.

Advice to Management

hire better people. the company never had the budget to get good professionals. they always had to hire at a level below what you needed. you spent so much of your time training people up to do the... job and that in iteself can be frustrating. get rid of the bad apples who work for you. there were a lot of strong charcters in your business - many of them were causing trouble for you as they were exploiting your marriage break up to play you against each other. dont let them do that. show a united front. have a unified vision. the brand is amazing.
