I have been working at Hays full-time
By far the best training diverse inclusive and friendly approachable team. Recruitment is very new for me. Yes I have worked in other careers such as banking so I understand the corporate world. But... never have I seen such a warm welcome by the entire senior leadership through middle management all the way down to other trainees. Such a remarkable and genuine welcome even starting during a pandemic doing all interviews and assessment by web cam and starting my first few weeks remotely has been smooth and I have been treated as an individual with my own learning plan and one to one contact with all of the senior mentors. I feel fully engaged with not just the local team but with the region and also the entire business. I feel so lucky and this after working in the NHS and being treated so poorly is a blessing.
Non to be found, some may say the hours 08:30 - 18:00 are long but trust me that is every recruitment firm practice I looked at all the reputable companies. It’s in place to allow you to speak with... your candidates before and after they may be at work. The days whizz past that fast you forget to check the time. There is always something to do so you are not bored or unsure what you should be doing. Trust me when you are enjoying your team and your work so much time doesn’t seem important if you want a job just because it’s a job I wouldn’t recommend recruitment full stop. This is a career with fast progression and for people with drive... if you want a job that pays basic and you do the minimally you probably wouldn’t pass the extensive selection process anyway.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what your doing - your on boarding during a pandemic is outstanding and you should be very proud of that. I have been introduced by video to key individuals and peers to know who to reach... out to and the level of trust shows you really are a fantastic employer. I feel valued respected and appreciated and that I can ask any question or approach anyone at any level for support. One week into the business I have also become a member of the Pride network. I love the business focus of well-being and you are a benchmark for the entire world for your diversity and inclusion. Reading team which is part of The West and Wales team in the UK have made me feel at home, they have given me support care and desire to work hard.
I worked at networx recruitment full-time for more than 3 years
I thoroughly enjoyed my years with networx. 1) People are great - lots of talented and knowledgeable people 2) strong portfolio of good clients and brands 3) Solid operational model 4) flexible... and adaptable to the changing needs of employees (personal and professional) 5) fantastic benefits and pay - really reward their people 6) great fun culture - work hard, play hard 7) you are surrounded by people who want the same things - the recruitment process is robust to choose the right people. As I say, I really enjoyed my time with networx and only left for personal reasons and changes in circumstances.
Not a con as such, just a reality of the situation. To get great results, you must put the work in. It's a sales target environment and therefore it's relentless. You work hard, you'll succeed and be... an employee for life. If you don't, it's simple, you won't succeed and you'll fail quickly.
Advice to Management
None as the business model works well. Great work, keep it up. Thank you :)
