I have been working at International SOS full-time for more than a year
I joined 2 years ago and the company has met my expectations. I have worked in a number of different environments and this is up there with the very best I have experienced - International SOS is a... company that does wonderful things for its clients and I am proud to tell my friends and family that I work for this company - It is a purpose and values led organisation - The people that work here are genuinely nice and are supportive of their colleagues - Senior management within Northern Europe are supportive of new ideas - I believe the way the organisation has handled the COVID-19 situation for staff has been exceptional - being flexible and keeping us up to date on the latest developments around the return to office
- The company is very complex and this can be challenging, especially for new starters - Internal communications needs work (see below for more details)
Advice to Management
Internal communications needs work e.g. too many e-mails and forwarding of the same e-mails). The launch of Microsoft teams could really help with this but the organisation needs to commit to its... use across the whole organisation otherwise it will be just another took which people don't use
I have been working at Capco full-time for more than 8 years
Capco, like many other companies in the UK has been impacted by Covid-19, with uncertainty from their clients so projects have been impacted. Even though Capco had to put some people onto furlough... there were regular checkpoints from leadership which ensured that individuals still felt connected to the company - and also remembered - it wasn't out of sight out of mind. People were actively working hard to get everyone back to work and full pay as soon as possible. Capco are also very committed to global diversity and ensuring that the organisation embraces a culture which allows people to #beyourselfatwork and this is felt across Capco, regardless of diversity driver (e.g. ethnicity, gender, sexual preference etc).
As Capco has grown, Employee comms on the way the company works, performance management etc could be more regular / consistent.
Advice to Management
If remote working is longer term then need to look at how to keep the junior workforce regularly engaged so that they maintain a connection to Capco , and not just their client teams.
