Former Employee - Warehouse Operative/Picker

I worked at J Sainsbury part-time

Pros

Good pay and above average

Cons

Repetitive and unfriendly and unsupportive management

Former Employee - Travel Money Advisor

I worked at Sainsbury's Bank full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

I worked with a brilliant team and a fantastic and supportive Manager. I worked with them throughout my time at University and they were extremely accommodating for my studies. Very interesting... job by its nature, lots of independence with support and guidance from colleagues and management. I found my own initiatives were supported by my team and management and you can create your own opportunities. As the Travel Money side is relatively new with a relatively small amount of staff, any ideas are most certainly taken on board and considered. And you actually get to know your managers and build a rapport. You can definitely progress in this company - becoming a mobile TMA, becoming a training buddy, promotion to TMM.

Cons

I’ve always felt for the amount of responsibility a TMA had, we weren’t compensated quite enough. - Though I really enjoyed working in this role!

Advice to Management

Keep listening to employees!
