I worked at Keg Restaurants full-time

Pros

The benefits - discounts on food - made working more bearable when working over meal times. The staff is very friendly and becomes tight knit very quickly. Very low turnover considering it's... hospitality.

Cons

You can get sucked in and never want to leave. Because it's so tight knit it can be very cliquey. Management has a tendency to speak down to their employees

Advice to Management

Treat staff with more respect, and create more social opportunities that aren't alcohol centered

Pros

-great discounts on food -all co-workers are friendly -get tipout

Cons

-takes a while to advance to become a server (some co-workers told me it can take around 3 years)
