I worked at Met Office for more than 3 years
Fantastic collaboration between teams and colleagues, highly supportive The HQ site is unique IT change management that works and enables things to happen Opportunities to move around teams to... gain experience of other disciplines Huge variety of work, each day is different Decent corporate communications Inclusive
Very few. The rate of pay for permanent employees in Technology is noticeably below par compared to the rest of the industry, including other government organisations.
Advice to Management
Make more effort to recognise people carrying out the excellent work on infrastructure implementation and support. These people are naturally reticent at "blowing their own trumpets" and seem to... miss out versus the 'headline acts' when it comes to corporate recognition.
I have been working at Sponge full-time
