What Employees Say
I have been working at Motor Parts Direct full-time for more than a year
MPD is currently the largest Independently Owned Motor Factors in the UK. Despite its growing size of almost 100 branches, the business is very much family run with the assistance of a team of... Regional Managers each looking after a number of branches. The Company is very staff focused. Branch Managers are not overburdened with daily targets which require High Pressure Telesales routines. MPD has not lost sight of the fact that their customers actually do come first and that it's more important to provide an efficient and consistent level of service as opposed to the cheapest deal on Blue Roll on a Friday. (Speaking of which, it;s £6.99 plus vat for a 6 pack of 2 ply whenever you want it with no minimum order.) MPD employs both Part and Full Time Delivery Drivers. Our drivers are without doubt key members of our Branch Teams. Without their valuable local knowledge and skills, things wouldn't get delivered. It's actually great to see interaction between Sales Advisers and Delivery Drivers that is focused on getting the right parts to the customer as quickly as possible. MPD is a great company to work with. With our continuing growth there are always New Positions available at all levels. If you're looking for a new opportunity we'd be pleased to hear from you. Visit our main Website, find a branch near you and pick up the phone.
Having left Euro Car Parts just over a year ago, I can quite honestly say that I've found, "No Cons" at Motor Parts Direct.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing. Whilst others are trying to motivate their customers with, "Free Biscuits and Chocolate Eggs," you continue to motivate your staff with appreciative feedback and a... transparent and open channel of communication.

Poor management Poor direction given Pay should be more seeing the hours you are expected to work. Expe ctation of work per department is way off. One department does everything when others do... little to nothing.
Advice to Management
Think on what you do before implementing. Changes are done on the fly and everytime they fail.
