Pros

The international side of the business is interesting and the products are good. Even in the UK, many colleagues are friendly and helpful, and trying their best in nearly impossible circumstances.

Cons

Atrocious management at UK level. The worst bullying and blame culture I’ve seen in my career (HQ have been informed many times but don’t do anything about it). Employees are spoken to extremely... rudely on a day to day basis and as a result, the atmosphere is toxic and many employees are constantly on edge. Management is incompetent and only reacts to situations rather than planning. Some senior managers react to the idea of saying “thank you” or anything pleasant to their staff in the same way vampires react to sunlight. When people are away unexpectedly, there’s no plan and the other employees are expected to fill in, sometimes for weeks, without extra training, thanks or slack in their own targets. Bullies are allowed to get away with screaming at their employees or humiliating them in front of other colleagues with no consequences.

Advice to Management

Bullying is a serious matter; treat it like one and act on all the complaints.

Cons

No major downsides to working at NICE. Sometimes there are peaks and troughs in workload, depending on committee meetings. Flexibility is important.
