Former Freelancer - Field Service Engineer

I worked at Pitney Bowes for more than 8 years

Pros

Good working environment with benefits

Cons

Not regular working hours and travel.

Current Employee - Software Development Manager

I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year

Pros

Tons of autonomy, customer obsession, investment in employees. Feels more like a startup than a large company, in a great way. The leadership principles (or core values) are valued all the way up and... down the management chain. I've worked at plenty of places where this is just theatrics. But it is not the case here.

Cons

With autonomy and trust leads to a lot of teams building different systems. There's no standards, which is fantastic, but it can lead to a lot to wrap your head around.
