What Employees Say
I have been working at Pret A Manger full-time
This company gave me the best experience ever - in customer service, getting better at what you do everyday and developing interpersonal skills of course. You get to meet lots of different people and... even though sometimes it gets tough and busy, these people will make your day enjoyable and make you want to come back.
There's really no need to stress out about it ;)
I worked at Juice Generation for less than a year
I got a paycheck. Some nice people. Free beverages.
- The CEO seems to be generally indecisive and less than trustful of the people that work for him. Not great qualities in a leader, to say the least. - Too much micro-managing going on, to the... point of being flat-out disrespectful and unprofessional. - Bad vibes in the office in general. Lots of talking behind closed doors. People seem on edge when CEO is around. Lots of fake smiling. - Horribly dated brand aesthetic (see: logo, for starters). Not consciously retro, but dated. There's a difference. - Pay is subpar.
Advice to Management
When you hire professionals to do a job, let them do it. They know better than you (which is, presumably, why you hired them). Otherwise, you're wasting your money and their time. Also, try... respect instead of fear as a motivator. It's much more effective.
