I have been working at Sage full-time for less than a year

Pros

I joined Sage about 6 months ago, and have been blown away by the focus on being setup to do the right thing whilst delivering world class leading products, the drive for colleagues to succeed and... develop, and the feeling of community through the Sage Foundation. Sage has been nothing short of top class during the Covid-19 crisis, and provided employees with regular, clear and consistent messages, the tools and technologies to perform duties from home and the space & support for people to manage home and work commitments. I genuinely believe that I have joined one of the best businesses in the UK if not the world!

Cons

No cons - joining Sage has been the best decision I have made in my career!

Keep doing what you are doing and take some time to thank yourselves!

I worked at Sage Products full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

On-site fitness center and wellness center Very community oriented organization--they sponsor a lot of local events and have many ties to the community Strong history with good products that really... solve healthcare problems Sales training process is very strong Good benefits--including better paternal leave benefits Vince Foglia (company founder) left an extremely strong legacy

Cons

Sage Products was acquired by Stryker Medical in 2016 and many of its great qualities were starting to disintegrate as time went on. Location is far out from the Chicago market, so... attracting/retaining top talent is challenging Salaries are below average Company was very hesitant to allow remote working options during tenure (only a few exceptions) High-level turnover since the acquisition by Stryker Develop people to perform a role well but do not offer opportunities to grow (limited within Sage) Suffered a recall in late 2017 that took time to recover from Their interview process can be extremely lengthy (phone interview, 3 on-site "interviews"). I understand why they do it, but it can be extremely intimidating at times.

Advice to Management

Sales support requires a greater investment--don't expect those groups to make chicken salad out of chicken you-know-what. Their technology was still stuck in the early 2000s--put forth the capital... to upgrade these things and allow your sales team an even stronger asset in the process.
