"Good place"6 Oct 2020

Current Employee - Customer Service Representative

I have been working at Severn Trent full-time for less than a year

Pros

Routine hours, decent pay, decent management, overall good place to work

Cons

Need to be good at conflict resolution and up for knowing more than just your role, does not accommodate to those with mental health problems, need to be very corporate to fit in to the business

Advice to Management

To ensure all staff are aware of the same processes

Current Employee - Customer Facing

I have been working at PowerShop full-time for less than a year

Pros

Working here has been life changing not only for me but for many people that I speak with. The team is small so you feel like you really know everyone. Constructive criticism and feedback is... acted on when given; regular feedback opportunities and surveys with results communicated back. Regular development opportunities and new jobs becoming available. Clear channels of communication between everyone in the business. Customer Service, Operations, Managment and all other teams spend time together socially and in the work environment. Genuine care for colleagues. Very versitile - currently working from home due to COVID-19 pandemic and nothing has changed too much.

Cons

Still feels like a new company at times; some key foundations of the operational day to day are noticeably missing. Salary is basic for customer facing staff. Lower than industry averages.

Advice to Management

Keep up the communications and conversations with front line staff. Look at ways to effectively build more solid operational processes that don't change every few weeks.
