What Employees Say
I have been working at Shell Energy Retail full-time for less than a year
- Modern technology stacks - Work from home at least 2 days a week with flexibility to do more/less or switch which days - Flexible hours allowing a better work/life balance (as a software... engineer I do 8-4:30 for example) - Full canteen with hot/cold food at competitive rates with a reward scheme (Points that allow you to get free cake (amongst healthier options) and free hot drinks) - Nice offices (There is some woodland walks that you can go for a nice sunny lunchtime walk on) - Car park with ample spaces - Other staff members seem to have a long service history
- Driving around the school and Coventry roads can be a little nightmare-ish at certain times of the day - But that could apply to almost any office in the country!

Its a dynamic business, really up and coming in their technology, a fast paced and exciting place to work at the sharp end of today's technology. I find most the people here are really down to... earth, minimising on the fluff and jargon, they actually get on with the work! I am well supported by my manager and I feel appreciated. Incredibly busy, but the work life balance is good! It is still early days in the business, but so far so good.
Its a bit chaotic at times, lots going on. Office is very industrial and dated compared to other businesses I have worked in, limited on facilities, basic canteen, no gym and located in an... industrial estate.
