Former Employee - Project Coordinator

I worked at The Open University full-time for more than a year

Pros

They give you flexibility and the culture is really nice and friendly.

Cons

Cant think of anything. The jobs are not fixed term, they can let you go when ever they want.

Current Employee - Student Demonstrator

I have been working at Birmingham City University part-time for less than a year

Pros

For the most part friendly staff, clean & pleasant work environment, good pay for student jobs, good sick-day (etc) agreements.

Cons

Some staff are hard to work with, uncooperative students can be frustrating, on-site food facilities can be expensive.

Advice to Management

Some lecturers could be better trained or more willing to actively engage with students.
