Current Employee - PhD Graduate Student

I have been working at University of Cambridge full-time for more than a year

Pros

- reputation could not be better - scientific funding is awesome - college system enables a lot of social activities. More than you would get at any other university other than oxford (imo) -... carreer service runs continuous events on all kinds of after cambridge carreers

Cons

- Cambridge is a bubble: - Interactions with people can be quite transient as the student population is quite fluent for masters for example. Difficult to make deep connections -experiences vary... wildly in between different colleges, research institutes, group leaders and departments -PhD scholarships could be higher

Current Employee - Student Ambassador

I have been working at Queen Mary, University of London part-time for more than a year

Pros

Friendly Colleagues Great Pay Interesting Work Nice facilities, free coffee etc.

Cons

Some early starts, especially around open days
