Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Walmart part-time

Pros

Good culture, reasonable pay, nice colleagues.

Cons

Pay could always be better

Current Employee - Executive Assistant

I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year

Pros

There is so much to learn (and in some cases unlearn) but everyone understands that it takes time to get up to speed with the culture and sheer size of the company. No matter the tenure, everyone... still seems to be learning all the time. Questions are encouraged, which is great. Culture of self-service and trust is great. It's up to you to create your working day, how you balance home and work, and how you develop your career. Offices are modern and provide flexible work spaces to suit what you need (i.e. quiet space, collaborative space etc).

Cons

There is a lot to take on board and especially difficult with home working involved at points. Things can feel lonely as there are already some well established teams / bonds that it can be... challenging to get to know people outside your immediate team.

Advice to Management

Keep up with the open conversations and the support during the initial months.
