Former Employee - Senior Program Manager

I worked at eBay full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

It was great company I worked in. I made great friends thru eBay. - Amazing Company - Great Work life Balance - Very good Salary - Good Stock / RSU options

Cons

I don't remember any cons. It was great company I worked in. I made great friends thru eBay. No Cons at all.

Former Employee - Manager

I worked at VMware full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Great software, great people, great ethos. The company is run extremely well from financial/planning perspective - at least in the sales part....

Cons

Too much "woke"-ness. Too much focus on PODs for every single group of humans imaginable. Great idea in theory, but it inevitably makes many people feel like they are -ist and just didn't know it yet... - but there's a training course that will point out why you are a -ist. I would like everyone to be judged on how they behave, how they treat others, their experience and suitability for a role, celebrating differences and cultures etc but not use it as a battering ram. I've marked Diversity and Inclusion as 5 stars because they put so much focus on it, I just personally think it does more harm than good and fosters negativity. Not necessarily a reason to not join or to leave, but just be aware...

Advice to Management

Focus on selling software and not being "fake" allies for various groups to drive career opportunities and public profiles.
