Pros
Part-time shifts for working moms
Cons
Rubbish pay Unpaid break They cut on night shifts, office colleagues and so much staff, that a single person is doing at least 3 people's job in a single shift. The only thing one does is grafting, as there are no colleagues, there are no consumables, most of the management is clueless or they don't care. And nepo culture is still a thing.
Advice to Management
Get some proper management skills. Most lack basic skills such as common sense, attention to detail, can do attitude, etc

Pros
No qualification required No experience required Free Parking It pays in time You can shop at the end of your shift
Cons
Limited career progression unless you have close ties to management. Promotions seem to favor those who are part of the manager's inner circle. Transparency in the promotion process is lacking. It can be disheartening to see hardworking colleagues overlooked for advancement opportunities.
Advice to Management
Don't discriminate against minorities, pay for breaks, introduce weekend allowance and treat humans with some decency.

Pros
-Payed very well, around £9 per hour, furthermore when woking between the hours of 00:00am - 06:00am you get an extra 2£ an hour as its classified as nightshift -Work shifts can be very flexible depending on the willingness of the managers and the availability, what time you start (e.g. asking to start an afternoon shift) or what days you work
Cons
-After the pandemic the standard work hours at hollingbury ASDA were 3am to 9am which ment it was more of night shift role -They changed brake times for shifts, so you get less brakes. Used to be 4h shift -> no break, 5h shift -> 15min break, 6h shift -> 30mins break etc. Now its 4h & 15 mins shift -> no break, 5h shift & 15 mins-> 15min break, 6h shift & 15 mins -> 30mins break etc. So for the standard shift you only get 15mins. -Work can become very repetative after getting used to the type of work
Advice to Management
Fix the breaks and allow people to have longer break especially when they are on their feet for 6 h
