How are senior leaders perceived at Alnylam?

Pros

Fast growing, great science, work culture is go go go

Cons

Leadership and some managers are not capable of keeping up with fast pace, lower level are working hard to complete deadlines. No support from manager. Some team members are unethically and judging which is not needed in such a fast growing company. Employees on lower levels aren’t always given the chance to climb the ladder on the other hand employees have 2 to 3 positions and just get dumped on the end.

Advice to Management

Employ fully qualified people in higher positions and ensure they are capable And have proofed record of doing the job there are taking on.

Leadership and some managers are not capable of keeping up with fast pace, lower level are working hard to complete deadlines.

How is management perceived at Alnylam?

Pipeline, science, innovation, and multiple back to back launch opportunities

Cons

Political environment with too many leaders managing upwards only, frenetic and chaotic sr management decision making, Unrealistic expectations, leading to horrible work life balance.

Advice to Management

Start analyzing every EA and work to understand who is performing, who is driving decision making, who is well- respected as a leader by their teams, and who executing at high level. Reward recognize and appreciate them ASAP.
