Pros
Free lunch - Amazing how this balanced evenly with all the cons. Excellent food provided daily. Free alcohol - last Friday of the month (I do not drink but the culture heavily revolves around alcohol) Easy 6 months, never felt so full of energy in my spare time outside of 'work'. Security and kitchen staff were excellent. Management often make staff aware of recent deaths caused as a result of the work they doing and often refer to goals of striving towards minimising them.
Cons
Having been given no work to complete in 6 months, I was there from March to October. I left not knowing much about the company or what they do on a daily basis. Communication was poor. Induction was meaningless and souless where by nothing from it materialised. Emails just go around in circles with no resolution.
Advice to Management
Trust the staff you employed (having been through extensive checks) to do the job you are paying them to do by giving them something to work on / towards. One coffee machine per floor creates long queues, seems obvious to install another. Something to tackle when you move to Farringdon perhaps if efficiency becomes important.
Excellent food provided daily.
