Pros

Great flexible environment, great benefits, with awesome diversity where you will have opportunity to work in Malaysia IT Hub, with a lot of other groups of people, diverse culture. Centralized IT processes that are very matured with standardized global applications and architecture roadmap.

Cons

Within IT org, very risk adverse, and hierarchical although efforts of trying to be agile. Process and structure does not help promote agility in decision making, and empowerment. Overly reliant on partners, and outsourced parties. Highly matrix environment. Challenges in career progression, due to constant changes impacting ways of working, causes a lot of duplication and overlapping boundaries. Reactive local IT leadership not overly operational, lack authenticity.

Advice to Management

Please shift traditional mindset and practice, to balance the needs for reacting to strategic direction versus getting more hands on in hub operational matters leading towards more servant leadership mentality on what is promoted but not entirely practiced.

Pros

Good salary, good intention of the higher management as communicated but there is no supervision to ensure respect. A company with a good diversity culture, however when moving employees from the third work working culture PLEASE ensure they get adapted to the Canadian work culture values and respect and NON BULLY. Unfortunately employees coming from other countries tend to bring bad habits to our Canadian work culture.

Cons

Lack of transparency. a bully and intimidating manager.

Advice to Management

There is a scary lack of transparency that leads to suspicious work relationships and also corruption when choosing vendors.
