Pros

- Great benefits - Remote 1st (including a $1500 work from home stipend is unheard of) - Great peers - Solid product

Cons

-It used to be a great culture, but overtime they've stopped listening to their employees and instead to their board of directors and infused micromanaging into everyday life (unnecessary reports, excess meetings, extra docs to submit, etc). -No one is hitting their goals. For too long they focused on inbound only, and refused to let reps contact clients. -They changed the commission plan and during the shift to a new tool, overpaid a ton of the sales team by thousands, and now they're clawing back money they already paid us out out of our commission checks from many months ago. Imagine a few hundred to thousand being removed from your paycheck. -If you're conservative, pro life, or Christian...don't open your mouth. They believe in "diversity and inclusion" only if you're liberal and will openly badmouth christian ideals in slack channels. I've never in my life worked with a company that was so hellbent on inserting their personal politics into everything. -Stock package is abysmal -Mediocre pay for account executives in the tech space. If this is your first 2nd tech sales job, it's a great stepping stone, but leave once you have the experience.

Advice to Management

-Set realistic goals and expectations. -Culture first died long ago. Don't be surprised that your people hate you, and are talking about leaving. -Be transparent to your team, and actually listen to them.

Pros

This used to be a great place to work…. Now it’s “just a job”

Cons

- CEO no longer seems to care about employees and has turned the company over to the inexperienced CFO and CMO - CFO leads areas of the the business that he doesn’t have experience in leading, causing them to fail quickly under poor/lacking leadership - Quality of hiring has declined and seemingly turning to hiring of friends from the new HM/executive team - Teams are being restructured so quickly without thought and care as to how changes impact the team - No longer have an announced Fair Market Price for company stock (this used to be communicated internally every quarter)

Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at who Calendly is going to be in the market and the employer reputation you want to have… because the current trajectory will sink the product and culture that took 10 years to build.

Pros

Every single person I've encountered - from the interview process to onboarding to my first 2 weeks of employment - have been phenomenal. Everyone is legit excited to have you as part of the team. The benefits are best in class and the company has "core work hours" so no one is regularly inconvenienced with very early/very late meetings. The folks at Calendly truly do care about each other and are genuinely happy for you when you join the team. Lots of slack channels for various interests which makes it so easy (and fun!) to connect with others. This is extremely important (to me, at least) since it's a remote first company.

Cons

None yet. I am obsessed with this place.
