What is working from home like at Calendly?

Pros

So many wonderful things about Calendly: Competitive pay and benefits. Solid health insurance, unlimited PTO, etc. Work from home stipend provided, as well as, other stipends and small rewards here and there. Management cares and listens. My direct manager is actively helping me achieve my goals and move down the path that works for me. Also very open to my feedback on processes and not afraid to be honest with me about my work. During COVID, culture has been tough to keep thriving and healthy but they are striving to keep everyone happy and continuously make improvements. Overall, everyone seems sincerely genuine and hard working. I have never been happier with my job. No work place is perfect but Calendly is very close.

Cons

Not to be that guy but... I can't think of any real cons.

Advice to Management

Keep going in this direction and actively listening to your employees.

How is the work/life balance at Calendly?

Pros

- As a company, Calendly extensively supports a healthy work-life balance and has a great culture involving team outings, provided meals, and work-from-home days. - The office is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta and is near public transit hubs and awesome options for eating out. - The product is very popular, the user base is growing rapidly, and Calendly impacts people in their everyday lives by making scheduling meetings efficient and painless. - The engineering and product teams are world-class and filled with individuals who know / apply industry best practices, and who utilize the latest development tools. - If you are willing to work hard and accept new challenges, you will be noticed and you will quickly become an important member of the company.

Cons

- As a newer company, there is a lack of defined process for some activities and rapid change going on, so you have to be willing to accept the change and be a part of defining the company's direction!

Advice to Management

Continue to value employees as the company scales.

How are flexible working hours at Calendly?

Pros

Perks, Benefits, Flexible Schedule and culture. The CEO really cares about his people and giving them a voice.

Cons

Typical challenges of a company going through rapid growth.

Advice to Management

There are a lot of new C suite leaders. The tension between the C suite as they work to build their functions is definitely visible. Work together to understand each other, not agree, but understand. Have the difficult conversations if there is a disagreement because the rest of the team can see it and it trickles down making it harder for internal teams to work cross functionally.
