Pros

Cirrus has a relaxed work environment and does a great job of hiring hard-working people who help each other succeed. The company offers fabulous health benefits and a decent 401(k) plan. There are tons of other perks such as employee events, free snacks, a shuttle service, and an onsite clinic. The CEO is a very straight-forward and approachable.

How are senior leaders perceived at Cirrus Logic?

Pros

-The perks and benefits are outstanding. -Lots of opportunity to take initiative and use your unique skills to make a positive impact on the company. -Despite what some of the other reviews may state, the CEO and managers take employee feedback seriously. I’ve given feedback on some pretty “heavy” issues and included examples and recommended plans for addressing them. The issues have always been promptly addressed. I never feel at risk of being reprimanded for giving constructive feedback. Cirrus excels in this regard. -The company keeps an efficient headcount-we don’t hire just for the sake of hiring. When we do hire, we take our time to make sure the candidate is a good fit and will add value to the company. -Heated toilet seats! -The CEO has a unique sense of humor and I find it refreshing and entertaining. -Every company has down sides, but at Cirrus the highs certainly outweigh the lows.

Cons

Nothing major. Anytime I have an issue, I bring it up to management and it’s usually promptly resolved, so nothing to say here.

Advice to Management

Keep retaining the high performers, coach the lower performers, and continue being responsive to employee feedback.

-Despite what some of the other reviews may state, the CEO and managers take employee feedback seriously.

What are some insights into the strategy or vision at Cirrus Logic?

Pros

Salary and benefits are excellent. Everything you need to do your job is provided and lots of training is available. Business class for intercontinental travel is standard. Staff are well motivated and excited about what Cirrus makes. CEO worked his way up from an individual contributor role and is very down-to-earth. Office environment is good (but open plan). Management structure is broad and flat, and there are lots of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

If you don’t work in Austin then your site can feel like its poor cousin. There is a ‘not made in Austin’ culture that pervades Cirrus and innovating at other sites can be difficult. There is some concern over Cirrus’s long-term strategy.

Advice to Management

Be as open as you can with staff in respect of Cirrus’s future and its strategy.
