Site based staff (mostly the tupee transferred) are mostly racists and bullies. Many of the team leaders and some operations managers are less competent and took the position when EMCOR took over the business from CBRE. I think many capable one left the business with CBRE( I worked at Stevenage)

What kind of career opportunities exist at EMCOR Group (UK)?

Pros

This is a genuinely fantastic company to work for. I work at a senior level and enjoy speaking to people from across the business; from frontline cleaners, security and engineers to customer account leads, functional heads and the board. With over 4000 employees, there will always be a handful that are not satisfied (with life as well as their job) - hand on heart - everyone is incredibly positive about EMCOR UK, highly motivated and appreciated the commitment to safety, mental health and wellbeing, sustainability and development opportunities. Our employee survey and shorter pulse surveys all point to a highly engaged and satisfied workforce. This is also evidenced on our website film (opportunities in FM and also our employee excellence awards films). If you work hard and want to progress - it is more than possible. The culture is fantastic and EMCOR UK are true to their values - Safety, Caring, Responsive, Integrity and Collaborative. The leadership of the business are driven towards growing the business organically in a measured and strong way, providing opportunities along the way - but doing so with fairness, inclusion and respect at its heart. I am not saying EMCOR UK is perfect - because it is not - but the important thing is the leadership is constantly looking at how the organisation can improve and be a better place to work. Overall - its a great company - do not think twice about joining and if you are working here and unhappy, then speak to senior management - they really will help you if you reach out to them.

Cons

Compared to many organisations in our sector and others, there is nothing that I can point to as a negative.

Advice to Management

Keep up the great work.
