Does GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) offer massages?

Pros

Courses on all aspects of rolling stock and track safety. Staff are friendly and a great working atmosphere. Good progression for entry level roles into senior management or technical roles. Good benefits such as free travel, final salary pension and 75% off all other train operating companies. Opportunity for overtime. Lots of rest days included in the rota.

Cons

Shifts aren’t great. The rota is sporadic and has no real trend. Involves shift work all the up to production manager. 3 shift pattern (days, lates and nights) Lower pay than most competitors. Certain roles (management/training) involve moving around the three depots so you loose consistency, stability and a regular working routine.

Advice to Management

Great company to work for. The shift pattern needs to be addressed for employees health, wellbeing and satisfaction. One day off after six nights and then straight into days is not sufficient rest. Due to the safety critical nature of most roles this is the only negative I have.

Good benefits such as free travel, final salary pension and 75% off all other train operating companies.
