Pros

The brand itself is very nice and there are some talented people working there.

Cons

It’s a shame that talent isn’t nurtured, therefore there is a really high turnover of people. It is a blame culture, there’s some silent bullying going on and senior managers blatantly favour some employees. Hard work is not being recognised. It is hard to find trust in the senior management as they don’t seem to know what they are doing. No real scope for career development either.

Advice to Management

Start listening to your employees. Put a training programme in place. Celebrate the successes instead of focusing on the setbacks and finding people to blame. Get better at recruiting senior managers.

No real scope for career development either.

Pros

I loved my team and the responsibility I was trusted with. I loved the products and genuinely enjoyed my job at times, until...

Cons

Managers don't know how to praise the right people and don't notice the people who go above and beyond what they're paid to do. There's no career progression. Management also can be unorganised at times with a lack of communication between the whole management team. They also blame other staff members for their mistakes because they don't want to admit that they were in the wrong. Store closed at 10pm which was tiring. Normally from 7pm you get 0 customers so can drag a lot.

Advice to Management

Please open your eyes to people who are passionate about their jobs and give them credit for the work they go above and beyond to do. Take responsibility for the issues and problems that happen. Don't make the staff who work so hard take on every single task and please teach the lazy staff how to do their jobs rather than letting them get away with everything.

There's no career progression.

Cons

- Everything is dictated by Sainsburys/Argos - The office is basically a carpark basement - Not many perks - Socialising and team building isn't valued by management - Small budgets make it hard for the business to succeed - No progression
