What is the company culture like at Hitachi Rail?

Pros

Leaving Is the only thing I can think of

Cons

I worked for hitachi for around 4 years, during my time with them I found the management team to be a disgrace, bullying and threatening employees to the point where you were afraid to question issues. Most of the senior management team received there current roles due to a face fits culture even if the are incompetent, pointless applying for internal vacancies unless you are prepared to be a yes man.

Advice to Management

I would take a good long look at yourselves and start and promote people on merit and ability not because there your friend. Career progression is none existent, be surprised if the factory is still open in 3 years as the order book was empty when I left.

How do employees feel about the requirements to work at Hitachi Rail?

Pros

Well structured company, great facilities and labour standards. Both managers and colleagues are high qualified and great to work with. Opportunities to work abroad.

Cons

Performance is not linked with salary and benefits.

Advice to Management

Performance should be linked to salary and benefits for extra motivation.
