Pros

Location of the office Location Location

Cons

They are proud of giving equal opportunity to men and women. Most women are in secretarial jobs and technical jobs are filled in by men. Japanese are the priority When they say there's opportunity for growth they mean you can grow from a receptionist to a secretary! There is no plan for training skilled workers.

Pros

Overall the company pays a good salary. The job is interesting and some employees have the opportunity to work within global teams. No micro management.

Cons

More needs to be done to ensure the company does not get overtaken by the competition. More investment is needed in training employees to ensure competency. Best practice should be perused and maintained.

Advice to Management

Lead your teams don’t just manage them. Make hitachi a great place to work. Listen to your team l, take an interest in them a people not just employees.

The job is interesting and some employees have the opportunity to work within global teams.
