What kind of work are different roles expected to perform at Ivy?

Pros

IVY is a safe haven for engineers if you are a Techie. - The organization structure is flat and titles are really more of a reference for most part. Like you will see a person with title Senior Manager coding in and out. - Leadership are all technically sound that can discuss the problems at ground level rather than just throwing technical jargons as seen in many companies. - Anyone can talk to any level leadership and it could be as simple as advice on the UI - You are pushed to find technical solution. IVY prides self as the one that can build inhouse solution. There is no preference of stack so for some problems i may use node and mongo and for others C#. They trust employees to be sound enough that they can pick up the code and start working on it. - People are passionate about their work. I have seen people complaining that the work is not challenging enough and fighting to get more difficult project rather than easy one - Company runs more like a startup with yesterday deadlines and all level involved - Might be not that applicable but free pickup drop

Cons

- Very fast moving environment so if you are not up for challenge you will be lost - Not many activities for employee entertainment - As mentioned above the company moves more like a startup that also means not many documentation to find things. You are expected to read code and find solutions which is fine sometimes but always doesn't work

Advice to Management

Might be better to organize events to engage employees. As more people are Techie a hackathon or some online cultural event
