How is the work/life balance at Kairos Group?

Pros

I have been at Kairos long enough to see it grow and develop. One of the most notable areas I've seen this has been it's culture and the employees that come to work here. The culture is very fun, energetic and hard working. The company is full of young and ambitious people who all share similar interests and most consider their colleagues good friends. Other pros include: - You get to work with cool clients in a exciting and growing industry - There are excellent career growth opportunities if you work hard and show commitment to Kairos - You can get a lot of responsibility early on which helps you grow fast and learn a LOT - It's a growing company with an open mind, so if you think there are better ways things can be done then test your hypothesis and if it works then management are usually open to rolling it out - Although staff numbers are growing by the day, it's still a good size that you know most people working there and feel valued - Very understanding approach to remote work considering COVID - In general the social side to the agency is amazing. It really is like working with a group of friends. The socials are great fun.

Cons

- The salary is not very high. However, if you stay there and go through promotions this does improve. - It can be hard work sometimes and long hours. But in general, this has improved and work life balance is much better than it used to be. - Training is not what you would get at a FTSE 100 company, but they are focusing a lot more on this and it's improving. The responsibility you get and career growth opportunities often make up for this as well.

But in general, this has improved and work life balance is much better than it used to be.

What is overtime like at Kairos Group?

Pros

A great CV entry, Kairos are willing to take on people with little to no industry knowledge. Being thrown into the deep end has ultimately been a positive experience, especially if you are a fresh graduate or if this is your first real career job. You do get the chance to work with some big clients which is always a plus. The social life is good, after work drinks and PS4's in the office are a bonus, but ultimately they do not pay the bills and pave way for career progression!

Cons

A very much sink or swim culture. You are expected to stay behind late everyday, and frowned upon if you are one of the first few to leave the office. The directors seem to completely forget that people may have long commutes everyday. Overtime pay is non-existent, and the directors are constantly trying to cut costs in this way. People would much rather get paid for overtime rather than a free beer! The trouble is that there are too many graduates and interns being hired at rapid rates on low pay, with little industry knowledge. Commission is an absolute joke, and never paid out. Undercutting staff and hiring too many people with barely any industry knowledge will always result in disastrous campaigns and ultimately a toxic culture. Clear favourites in the company, which never helps - they seem to think that staying behind an extra hour means you deliver better work.

Advice to Management

Treat your employees with the respect they deserve.

How are flexible working hours at Kairos Group?

Pros

-Amazing culture within the company! I felt included from day 1 and definitely everyone you speak to will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and supported. -Best HR team I have ever worked with. -Great clients' names coming through the door as the company continues to grow. -Regular team socials -Flexible working hours, early finishes on Fridays, prizes to be won through work being recognized. -Wellbeing days -Accessible leadership team -Recognition with the wider business for any achievements.

Cons

-Due to how quickly the business has grown not everything has been ironed out and there's definitely room for improvement on the processes and ways of working. -Could improve on the training process - especially remotely -Pay could be more competitive
