Pros

Friendly positive supportive atmosphere Genuine care for wellbeing Pay is good Nice benefits package Opportunities to grow/develop if you have the right attitude

Cons

Lack of flexibility in working hours unless you are a CSA where there are lots of options Management somewhat detached from the rest of the company Dated systems and procedures don’t always make sense, and lack of willingness to streamline processes (ie that’s just the way it is)

Advice to Management

Clearer communication and deliberate trickle down. Also don’t treat departments differently

Lack of flexibility in working hours unless you are a CSA where there are lots of options

Pros

Lifeplus colleagues know, feel and embody the company's core values and objectives. From the outset, it's easy to recognise that Lifeplus is a different kind of company. The Lifeplus ambition is to help everyone around the world to live well, and this translates into how Lifeplus looks after its employees; it has grand ambitions but operates with a 'small company' kind of feel and there is a real culture of inclusion. The onboarding process was fantastic, with my line manager keeping in touch with me throughout my notice period at my previous job and making sure that I felt welcomed into the company when I joined. You are always greeted with smile, whichever part of the business you work in, and nothing is too much to ask. Lifeplus values its people above all else, so there's no lack of development opportunities - Lifeplus will invest in you and develop you if you show an interest in becoming better. There is a clear commitment to not only embedding the company values, but living them. The Lifeplus Foundation do some fantastic charitable work and have made a tangible difference to people's lives. In terms of benefits, the salary is superior to the rest of the field (in my experience) and there are plenty of perks such as access to free products, subsidised events, and a fantastic atmosphere in which to work. I'm really excited to learn, develop, and grow as a Lifeplus employee.

Cons

I am yet to encounter any cons!

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! All of the Heads of Function are walking examples of the values and the MD, Malcolm, is visible, approachable, and clearly capable. You can have real confidence that Lifeplus will always do the RIGHT thing, and not just the most commercially-motivated thing.

There is a clear commitment to not only embedding the company values, but living them.
