What is the company culture like at Lowe's?

Pros

It’s better than being unemployed

Cons

The culture is a result of the many years HQ was in Wilkesboro, it’s outdated and most of the employees/ leadership hold on to out of date corporate expectations and practices while completely disregarding professionalism.

Advice to Management

Lowe’s will not succeed if they continue down the path they are on. The external hires Lowe’s needs to overhaul the business (including myself) will not accept the culture as it stands considering how common companies with more flexibility and better benefits are in 2020.

Does Lowe's drug test?

Pros

Ita a job that covers my bills. I get sick days and holidays. Overtime is not required. Some nice (and not so nice) people.

Cons

They let employees gossip and spread lies rather than shutting them down. A lot of people walk around with frowns, esp. managers/supervisors who should be setting a more positive example. Scheduling does not allow for making plans outside Lowes. You know only 3 weeks in advance what your schedule is. They stop hiring and expect the existing employees to get all the work completed. They tell us it is difficult to find employees because no one can pass the drug test.

Advice to Management

They don't care and just say-that's retail if you tell them someone is harrassing you. Treat your people with respect and believe in them.
