Are transfers to other offices possible with Lowe's?

Pros

Easily transfer to anywhere that life takes you. Benefits are great.

Cons

Schedule’s are awful as it is retail. Constant structure changes and the reinvention of the wheel often force people to have to find a new position every year and a half.

Advice to Management

Only make changes when you know for sure they are for the best. Trail and error is not a reasonable method for structural improvement.

Does there seem to be diversity at Lowe's?

Pros

They have great people, diversity and flexibility

Cons

Subtle segregation, favoritism and subjectiveness of Store Manager

Advice to Management

Each store manager should be assessed based on insights garnered from their reporting line. A lot of the Managers at Lowe's don't have leadership skills and they such at making decisions. While there are some great ones, I feel Lowe's never makes its choice of manager's based on merit. Also learn to treat everyone equal. I was paid lesser than the other associates hired as seasonal while I worked more than most of them and they treated me such because I was an African.

Not a whole lot other than hourly pay slightly above minimum.

Advice to Management

Get your ship together. Dont strangle your employees.
