Does Marsh offer sponsored degrees?

Pros

Since the day I’ve started, everyone had offended their assistance in one way or the other. Management is fantastic - I’ve never had manager like I do now that is truly genuine, caring, and you’re not scared to talk to him when something comes “up”. The company is growing and there is so much to learn and do, and Marsh WANTS you to grow! They help pay for education tuition and also ask you to make a plan to help get you to where YOU want to be in 5 years. It’s awesome. They’re awesome!

Cons

Nothing is perfect and of course sometimes you’ll find some people just don’t get along. But you have to ignore those types of things if you yourself want to grow.

Advice to Management

Keep putting your employees and their needs first! Showing us you care makes us proud to work for MMA!

What is the retirement plan like at Marsh?

Pros

Lots of talent and strong brand credibility

Cons

Horrible benefits- misrepresented at time of hire. NO 401K MATCH FIRST YEAR!!! 4 YEAR VESTING PERIOD AFTER THAT. 5% ESPP EXTREMELY LOW! VERY HIGH TURNOVER, BE PREPARED TO DO YOUR JOB AND THE REST OF YOUR TEAMS' THAT LEAVES. Work here for a year- have a big brand name on your resume then cash it in at another brokerage with better work life balance, financial incentives, etc. Minimal training so be prepared to run with what you got, no employee development- all time is dedicated to putting out fires.

Advice to Management

Invest in employees- provide 401k match in first year- show employees you want them to stay? Pay employees mid year as their work load increases if/when employees leave. more work should = more pay. Half staff, same workload team-wide and same pay, please explain. Super slow to hire due to corporate red tape. Get away from churn and burn culture- looks horrible for fortune 500 clients when a different stiffy is handling their business each year. Pay people and provide internal financial incentives to stay- beyond holding their 401k over their head LOL, come on Marsh!
