How is the work/life balance at Marston's?

Pros

No pros to the job

Cons

Long hours , no work life balance constant heavy lifting blame and bullying culture rubbish wages, culture of veiled threats ,dangerous working conditions,no consideration to mental or physical health.

Advice to Management

Pay men what they are worth,stop treating them like slaves, employ people who can do their jobs (load planner) ,get more corks because the ship is sinking .

What is overtime like at Marston's?

Pros

Reasonable salary and good employee benefits, pension/share scheme etc

Cons

Want blood out of a stone, withholds some overtime owed, struggle to get holidays in, only takes H&S seriously that benefits the company and doesn't listen when it doesn't.

Advice to Management

H&S on the back of the lorry with loading and picking needs taking seriously

Does Marston's reimburse for mileage?

Pros

Staff Discount Card, Possibility to transfer between different areas

Cons

Staff needs to pay for their own meals even when they work all day. It can get very expensive when you on a low pay. Objectification of women ( at pub level, varies from manager to manager)

Advice to Management

Up your training on equality, diversity and sexism. It should not be only online.
