How are senior leaders perceived at Maxim Healthcare Group?

Pros

You can make good money IF you have good people around you and are in an area that isn't flooded with competition.

Cons

Nothing about this organization sets it apart. Benefits are poor, pay scale for external staff is low, and leadership hasn't decided on a direction they want to focus on. Seems like a flavor of the month trajectory.

Does there seem to be diversity at Maxim Healthcare Group?

Pros

An okay position for someone fresh out of college. If I had chosen to stay, chances for promotion were very likely.

Cons

Compensation: the highest contributing and lowest contributing recruiters get paid the same amount due to a commission pool. No individual commission. Office culture: Women in the office discriminated against. Leadership treated the office like an “old boys club,” including the district leader. Lack of diversity and gender, race, and religious discrimination very prevalent. Work/life balance: There is an on-call phone the recruiters have to take home. It would ring anytime of the night, and the recruiter would have to answer and try to resolve the issue. No additional compensation for this and no flex work hours offered. Was not told about this program upon hire. Office hours are 8a-6p so minimum hours worked are 45, plus one to two nights of oncall. Benefits: Best healthcare plan offered had a min $1500 deductible.

Advice to Management

Clinical leadership was great. Train sales managers to perform and act as leaders. Hold leadership to the same standards as the rest of the office. Vet leadership more appropriately.
