Be honest and forthright

LAS Menzies is a good place to work overall. The company is going thru changes right now trying to get better. Supportive Ops Manager who actually is willing to listen to you, fix issues and work with your schedule. 50% of the leads and fuelers are amazing. The ones who do a good job have advanced as leads etc. If you work here you have a split between those who like Menzies Aviation and those there to complain and just pick up a paycheck. Company provides, health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, disability insurance, life insurance for you and your family. If working outdoors in a physical environment is for you and you like aviation give it a shot. Overtime is available and so is coming in on your days off.

Other managers aren't responsive or gone all the time. 50% leads and fuelers are lazy and complain about what they deserve, what the company doesn't do but they don't leave and get another job. Fuelers can't show up on time or call out every week. Managers don't do anything about it. The equipment is often broken and our GSE could do a way better job. It would be nice to have proper gear for working outside in the cold, wind and rain. Especially rain gear.

Could be an amazing place to work if they just fixed the toxic culture on the ramp. 1 out of the 3 managers cares and does his job. The other two managers complain about the company as much as the fuelers. Same for the supervisors and leads. If you want better performance, care about your people. Take a lesson from how the Denver station recognizes and pays their people. We are just as busy as they are

- The Job itself is very interesting, Training was good and beneficial - You will gain a lot of knowledge in aviation field. - Most supervisors treat you fairly - Customers are mostly friendly - Access to duty-free with additional discount - Other PSA's are friendly

- There is a female supervisor who is an undercover bully, if she decides she does not like you she will make your job very difficult, getting other members of staff involved with the bullying! - I did not feel comfortable talking to any management of my issues because nothing is kept confidential! - Low pay - Under £10p/h - You can work 8 days in a row with no days off - You are not appreciated or respected - Management try to be intimidating instead of welcoming and friendly (Except Mr M.C he is very nice!) - No opportunity to progress unless you're related... - Sometimes your pay is short, especially if you do overtime (so always calculate hours)

- Treat all employees fairly regardless of race, gender, background, religion, sexual orientation etc. - Praise staff when doing good! - Introduce inclusive and anti discriminatory policies to eliminate discrimination and give all staff a fair opportunity

-No sick pay -The management will not back you up -They will not help you if you need any help with your shifts for example if you have an appointment or childcare issues -They will only help you if it it suits them -Even if you are late 5 minutes they will deduct your pay

Value your staff

A lot of downtime. Pay isn't bad, unionized.

ALOT of favoritism goes on in this place. No communication between management and workers. No room for advancement. Managers/supervisors talk to you however they want. Long hours. No benefits. I would stay away from this place. It's a place to get back on your feet but do not try to make this a career.

Stop being so cheap. Stay in touch with your workers. Without them you wouldn't be in the position that you are in.
