A culture of what I hear described as strong management and close oversight but felt more like a bullying culture from very senior managers. So much scrutiny that it was impossible to move anything forward. I left as I didn’t feel I could be professionally competent in my role as there was so much scrutiny and performance monitoring and this got progressively worse to the extent it took over everything and in the end I was desperate to leave.

Consider carefully whether you need all of these processes and so much scrutiny. Support and enable people to get on with their job.
