Pros
The people are what makes the job. Great way into the industry. CEO is super friendly and approachable. Great selection of sessions that cover issues including inclusion, parenting, mortgages and cost of living.
Cons
Very poor management and lack of guidance. Salary is not very competitive. Management will blame the workers for not knowing what they have not been shown. Not allowed much say on any of the processes - just told to get on with work. Turnover rate was really high, which I think speaks for itself, despite what the hiring team initially told me.
Advice to Management
Keep up the sessions. Monitor more senior members as some are being promoted but are not acting in the way a manager should (asked for training or some more workload and they refuse)

Pros
Being 100% remote was my favorite part of the job, even when other WPP offices started doing hybrid schedules, OpenMind kept everyone remote. The leadership team really cares about the safety and comfortability of their employees. Lots of opportunity for a planner to work on different brands and mental health hour on Wednesdays
Cons
No work life balance nor formal training for Planners, sort of thrown into the middle of everything and take it from there . Pretty understaffed for the amount of work/client requests you have to do resulting in long hours. Eating lunch and working at the same time became the norm with this role due to the amount of multiple meetings across multiple brands including our regular work. A decent amount of responsibilities and expectations thrown at you as a Planner early on. No clear career path as well although there were many open Manager positions. Our team didn't have a Planning Manager for almost a year and I found myself taking over more responsibilities (whether I wanted to or not) for the betterment of the team. Stepping up to do work, without a choice, was pretty common including burnout at least once a month. I had to find a new company once a Manager was hired and I was forced to onboard and train them.
