Does NSC Global have a pension plan?

Pros

Remote working, pension contributions (although that’s try of all employers) and reasonable wages.

Cons

The company offers a limited, not very generous, annual leave allowance, absolute minimum sick leave entitlement and there is very little top cover from management. Other than there being an annual leave entitlement, albeit not very generous, and pension contributions, it’s probably more beneficial for most to be a true contractor than to be contracted out by NSC as a salaried employee. There is an acceptance amongst the project staff that you’re a commodity to be sold rather than a valued employee and working consecutive nights and days is not uncommon; on paper you should take the hours back the following day, in practice this often isn’t possible, overtime isn’t paid without a struggle and it’s not unheard of for TOIL to expire before there’s been an opportunity to take it due to intense periods of project delivery. There is a high turnover of staff, due to the reasons stated above, but the company seems content with this. Bottom line; they view those that they contract out to bring in the money with contempt.

Advice to Management

Management are purely overheads, have some respect for and demonstrate the value of those that bring in the money that pays your wages.
