Does Otsuka offer sponsored degrees?

Pros

The working environment is centered around collaboration and there's an emphasis on team success over individual advancement. Competitive pay, great benefits, and quarterly meetings that help bring the division closer together. The VP has an open-door policy, which was a first for me. Tuition reimbursement is top-notch, and something everyone should take advantage of.

Cons

Otsuka operates as a virtual company, with headquarters in Japan, the US, EU, etc. There are those in higher positions that are against this shift in work environment, as they are accustomed to working in an office from 9-5 every day. This flexibility is appealing to younger hires, and continuing to make this an available work setup would attract more younger talent for hiring the next generation of Otsuka personnel.

Tuition reimbursement is top

Does Otsuka offer housing assistance?

Pros

Travel to new places, company car, corporate housing

Cons

Shady management, zero transparency, no commissions, lots and lots of lies from the Ready Now leadership. They will use you until you’re of no use to them anymore. They’ll send you off to some random state and lie about everything. This job sounds great on paper but when you dig deeper you’ll find none of the leadership team cares about you, your success, or even supporting you. Do yourself a favor and avoid this job at all costs.

Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Don’t lie to people. Don’t use and abuse young adults trying to make a career for themselves

What is the retirement plan like at Otsuka?

Pros

Good benefits, 10% 401k match

Cons

Management prides themselves on the idea that nothing you do is ever enough, they reward your hard work with more work but no extra pay, goals are steep and rankings don’t take into account whether the medication is on state Medicaid formulary or no. Constant turnover.

Advice to Management

Don’t tell reps to not take off time during Christmas or try to motivate reps using regional and national district rankings as this is not what they get paid on.

Does Otsuka offer dental insurance?

Pros

They care about their employees. I joined as a FTE right before COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020 and since then, they have never ceased to amaze me. We have bi-weekly CEO chats where we all get on a call and he speaks about what is going on with the company, new announcements, and then opens up for questions. Since being here, they surprised us with an extra paid holiday in addition to memorial day, an extra paid holiday in addition to labor day weekend, juneteenth off as a paid holiday, and summer Fridays where we stop working at 1pm from memorial day weekend to labor day. And a new additional is we have the entire week of Christmas off and they are encouraging us to cancel meeting the week of thanksgiving and take time off. I appreciate that they value us taking time to spend with our families and to decompress from work. I have never been at a company that has encourages us to take time off and gives us additional paid holiday's aside from the usually 10 paid holidays. Granted, all these additional benefits may be because they are aware of the mental impact COVID-19 and staying inside has had on everyone, but nonetheless, they reacted very well to our circumstances and prove they care. Otsuka is such an inclusive company and they really care about their employees. The culture is great. They encourage you to speak up, they encourage new ideas and expanding your role past your job description. They value helping you find a work life balance and they encourage you to take off when needed. The benefits are amazing. For 401k, they match dollar for dollar contributions up to 10% vested 100% at 5 years. Generous PTO! After 1 year, you get 24 PTO and it increases based off years of service. Tuition reimbursement and fitness reimbursement ($100 per quarter). Medical, vision, dental, and so much more... I absolutely love working at Otsuka and i am so grateful to be working here.

Cons

I have zero complaints! I love working at Otsuka and would recommend this company to anyone.
