Does Pacific Gas and Electric offer parental leave?

Pros

-Benefits (health care, time off, 401k match) -Work-Life Balance (company has generous family leave policies) -Relatively stable industry (everyone needs electricity...) -Easy to move around and try something new

Cons

-Low salaries compared to other bay area companies for the same position -Incompetent leadership (most departments are just desperate to retain people, so they promote whoever is left but they are not necessarily the best candidate for the job) -No perks: free lunch, team events, etc. (company is trying to cut spending but losing talent at the same time because people are fed up with the lack of respect.) -You have to apply for your promotion. Leadership already knows who they want for the promotion but they ask others to apply for it. That way they can comply with HR rules to interview multiple candidates. This usually leads to employees scared from ever applying for these roles and left feeling like a pawn.

Advice to Management

You have lost the respect of your employees. Your frugality has led to people leaving the company for better opportunities or to retire early. Get rid of the bad apples, most of the employees just hang around for the good benefits but they don't care about their jobs or don't want to keep up with change. PG&E has lost their vision. For anyone considering applying for a job here, DON'T DO IT! SAVE YOURSELF!
