Does Primark offer employee discounts?

Pros

Reasonably flexible with shifts. Plenty of overtime available especially over busy periods.

Cons

Bad if you're a student wanting to go home for Christmas. They make you work both Christmas and New Year with no incentive other than a 10% discount in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Advice to Management

Make things fairer over Christmas and new year period. Dont expect your part time staff (the majority of whom are students) to take all the weight of the Christmas rush. Maybe do it on rotation and get full time staff to help out as well especially when some students have families overseas.

How are senior leaders perceived at Primark?

Pros

Good pay, good progression, staff are mostly nice.

Cons

Staff treat you like rubbish, customers treat you like rubbish and management treat you like rubbish. Supervisors get all the stress and no recognition for it. Fell very ill because of the stress of primark. Canterbury store was the test store for the new ways of working in Primark and the staff and supervisors didn’t get anything for it but the store manager and management team gets bonuses.

Advice to Management

Be nice to your supervisors and they will work with you. Don’t expect everything from them and push them too hard.
