How are senior leaders perceived at Qatar Petroleum?

Pros

-Good financial package (competeive salaries, medical insurance...etc) - Stable management - flexible time. - accommodation for humanitarian cases, e.g. emergency leaves - relative job security

Cons

-A lot of internal politics -limited opportinuties for promotion for both Qatari and expatriates. -lack of transparency and abuse of power by direct managers (HR, in most cases, are useless, if they are not working with the manager against the employee especially when it comes to promotions) -baised performance evaluation

Advice to Management

Please review and monitor your internal process, escpecially, the HR process. It is necessary to allow employees to complain against their managers regardless of their level, appeal their cases and protect them from retaliation. Otherwise, the corporate culture would be toxic and the employees would be completely disengaged.
