What is a typical working day like at Qlik?

Pros

Flexibility to work with different technologies and try new things, you'll learn a lot! There are many really smart folks working at Qlik. Friendly and open environment. People are professional and respectful. There's a good work/life balance and flexibility of working from home. Perks such as different snacks, coffee, beer, and Fika (twice a week) which includes fruit, veggies and other bits and bites. Modern office and hardware.

The company is still going through a transition, there's lots of turn over which can sometimes affect morale. For a while there were often shifts in the direction of the product which can lead to frustration.

What is it like working with clients or customers at Qlik?

Pros

Clients who have adopted Qlik are generally satisfied and see the value that makes Qlik unique.

Cons

Why would you hire sales leadership that has never worked in the BI industry? Not just one or two, the entire leadership team! Learning curve for them has been painful. I'm not even sure if they fully understand what we do... Marketing, where do we start..How bout with the top. Does the CMO even still work here? MIA. Someone send out a missing persons bulletin...Actually it may be better that hes missing, cant cause any more problems for the field. . Good tech - weak leadership.

Advice to Management

Take a moment before responding with your generic HR Glassdoor negative review response and think how the feelings I've expressed permeates throughout the org...what affects does it have? Yep, you send out surveys, nice work, keep it up.. Hire professionals that understand the data landscape. "Sold BI software" should be somewhere on the resume. Fire the no show CMO and bring in talent. New messaging for new platform.

What is the work environment like at Qlik?

Pros

Original culture. Work with people you like. Remote working environment and culture around it.

Cons

Leadership disarray. Communication within company is horrible. Company has been lapped by Microsoft and Tableau. Private company now, and focus is on profit (not growth). Some functional leaders appear to have given up, or become invisible. Other leaders are so incompetent it is driving valuable employees out. I am not sure any of the leadership team recognize that fact.

Advice to Management

Executives are too far removed from rank and file. Delayer and deliver on promises. Hold each other accountable, rather than point fingers at others.

Remote working environment and culture around it.

How is the office food at Qlik?

Pros

Free drinks and snacks, work from home.

Cons

This company is a total mess. I joined Qlik in 2016 from a top tier top 5 global company as I was told my role was highly needed and there was lots of upside growth potential both for the company and my role. Fifteen months later I was told that my position was being eliminated. This company has ZERO onboarding and the only way you can get access to anything is to discover one system and access point at a time that you don't have access so you had to manually request access for each and every item Ridiculous!! Why don't you establish access ahead of time based on the parameters and system requirements of the role? HR is almost non-existent, all of them work from home and it's next to impossible to get in touch with any of them. The turnover in sales is like nothing I've ever seen before, part of my role involved mapping sales reps for quota attainment and incentive compensation purposes. Everytime I pulled the report there was major change and turnover. The culture and morale in the Radnor office is non-existent. No one introduces themselves to you, everyone works in silos, there's no office camaraderie.

Advice to Management

Get back to basics. Focus on your employees first, second and third. Take care of your people and your people will take care of you and your customers. Figure out the on boarding process to provide the proper training and contextual knowledge they need to be successful and ramp up quickly.

Free drinks and snacks, work from home.
