Pros

I have been with QR for the best part of a decade and haven't stopped learning since my first day. The company has kept pace with my ambition in terms of growth, diversification and performance levels. We truly are industry leading in our work and are gaining more recognition from some of the most respected people in the business, as well as formal awards from independent bodies. Our work ranges from hands-on data management, system & toolset development through to advisory work, with everything in between. Our approach is always detailed oriented and the company is built on a firm platform of core understanding, meaning that we are able to interpret and describe complex problems before recommending and implementing a solution in partnership with our clients. By far the best thing about QR is working with some of the best people you will ever meet - all employees are encouraging, friendly and driven. This leads to a working environment that is both welcoming to the new starters and supportive to those moving through the levels. Recently we have been working hard on employee wellbeing and ED&I, run by people within the company at all levels to achieve something that works for us.

Cons

Due to our growth, there has been an element of reinventing the wheel a few times in terms of internal process change. The progression to competing with the big consultancies is still in process, which can lead to high achievers reaching a plateau before moving into higher-value work. Work life-balance can easily creep the wrong way - important to note this is never expected but is usually due to the character of the employees.

Pros

Great company to start your career and boost your CV with big names in the automotive industry. You will be part of a team that is mostly made of great personalities and are generally helpful.

Cons

The career prospects expires after two years with this company. The business model is set up in a way to have junior analysts put in client work as specialists and given the lower salary level have higher profit margins. Therefore, having a high turnover after senior level is somewhat (secretly) desired by the leadership. Favouritism and location plays a massive role on who goes on better projects, promotions and progressions. It also plays a role in who can leave to work for clients without consequences. Salary starts as competitive at start and quickly becomes less than average after a couple of years. Slippage to other clients and recently high employee turnover is a clear indication of a decreasing job satisfaction.

Advice to Management

You need to completely re-invent a new corporate structure and policies to address the on-going issues facing the internal side of the company. Reward individuals based on their merits and performance.

Great company to start your career and boost your CV with big names in the automotive industry.
